Principal photography took place from February 14, 1990, to May 8, 1990, over a course of 83 days. It was built in the gym and empty swimming pool of the former New Trier High School building, previously used by Hughes for Uncle Buck and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, where the production company had already set up its offices. The tree house in the back yard was built specifically for the film and dismantled after filming ended. Kevin runs away from Marley in Hubbard Woods Park in Winnetka. The church exteriors were shot at Trinity United Methodist Church in Wilmette, Illinois, while the interiors were shot at Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park, Illinois.
The worst of all is Buzz, this is a guy you sort of love to hate as he's kind of funny or even just plain hate as he really presses a wrong button with you. And another which was eating Kevin's Cheese Pizza on purpose and insulting Kevin once more, thinking he's so funny which pushes Kevin over the edge. Although this is not the only point of the film, there is an important message that family is what really matters to a child, or to anyone, and having them home for the holidays is better than wandering a huge house all by yourself.

I remember whenever I watch the film, I always wonder who that person or the other in the family is. I honestly wouldn't mind if they made some sort of TV program called "The McCallister's" where we could see Kevin and the rest of the family years later, get to know the rest of them and see what shanagans they get into. If not there's always a licensed comic book, follow up; and if one or both these happened it would be the true third sequel. But I really love some of his lines, he's got some great lines, one of my favorites "he sounded like a snake" I know a small line but it's funny on two counts. The funniest for me is when Harry and Marv pretend to be Santa Claus and his elf and the way Harry speaks in that scene, followed by the even funnier part when Kevin fires at Harry's pants.

Well, that's the thing about Christmas wishes - they have a magical tendency to come true. That night there is a power outage which re-sets all the appliances in the house, including the alarm clocks, which do not go off as planned. The family is left scrambling to make it to the airport in time to catch their flight accidentally leaving Kevin behind.
The dog is on the defensive but her tail is tucked between her legs at the same time. Immediately following this the room got really cold for a few seconds and it took her a while to lay back down. A couple years ago I was home alone, husband traveling out of state. I put on the news on the Samsung Smart TV in the living room, set the remote on the coffee table and went into the kitchen next room over to make dinner. Both your classic comic duo much like Abbot and Costello and any other you can think about, both are so much fun as both are pretty much numb skulls. Macaulay Culkin is terrific as the clever kid Kevin McCallister. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are awesome as the "wet bandits" and Roberts Blossom is great as the character Old Marley. It is then that Kevin's Dad finds that his wallet and credit cards are missing. The lost credit cards are reported so that if Kevin attempts to use one, they can be tracked.
If there had been an intruder, he or she had fled without incident. From her vantage point, she could see into the hallway, but it was so dark that she couldn't make out if someone was there or not. Just to be on the safe side, she had jumped out of bed and closed the door. Since it had only a simple knob with no lock, she slid a boxful of books and magazines against the structure in the hopes that the weight would prevent anyone from entering the room. In case you didn't know, Home Alone centres around a young boy who is left home alone by mistake by his parents, after they jet off to Paris.
The next day, the family almost misses their airport express to the airport, but luckily, they make it in time, along with Kevin. By the time the family arrives at the airport, they are still late for the plane and make a mad dash. Kevin accidentally falls behind, and when he looks up, mistakes one man for his Dad, and follows him to another plane. Kevin McCallister and his family are set to spend their Christmas vacation in Miami, Florida.
