I was told all of the "good" staff had transferred to the new Green Houses area, and this left the rehab short staffed. The meals were also just disgusting and not edible. I had to argue with nurses to allow me to take a shower each day. Administrators had an excuse for why the care was so bad but at the end of my stay, they still presented me with a hefty bill despite not receiving the care I had been promised in any way.

The staff is very helpful, accommodating, and attentive. Jewish Home of Rochester was very nice, bright, and welcoming, which was important. The people were very nice and the rehab seemed to be very thorough. The people who helped me were nice and accommodating. My friend is in there and he had $350 cash stolen from his room.

Based on past reputation, we thought this would be a good choice for my mom after a fall; however, we were greatly mistaken.
After a fall resulting in badly broken leg, I thought I was fortunate to get admitted to the rehab therapy program at the Jewish Home. Not only was the facility dirty and the smell almost intolerable, my bed hospital style bed was terribly uncomfortable and the heat wasn't working. I was told the therapy schedule and it never took place. I was there nearly 3 weeks and had perhaps 5 actual therapy sessions.
This community features a large number of amenities and services for residents. Health services include help with medication and physical therapy. She first went there as a rehab patient and ended up staying there. The facility is large and has some wonderful caregivers. They try very hard and do a pretty good job considering the amount of people there and the amount of care that's needed. It took a long time to get the labels from the laundry.
